What Happens At Appointment?
What Happens During Your Appointment?
At ARM Vitality Clinic, we understand that some patients may feel unsure about what to expect during a vitamin injection or IV infusion appointment. Whether you are visiting for the first time or returning for ongoing wellness support, our aim is to provide a safe, professional and comfortable experience from start to finish.
All treatments are administered by an experienced Registered General Nurse within a dedicated clinical treatment room that meets Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) standards.
Before Your Appointment
Before any treatment takes place, you will receive a consultation to assess your suitability and ensure the treatment is safe and appropriate for your individual needs.
During your consultation we may discuss:
- Your medical history
- Current health concerns
- Existing medical conditions
- Current medications
- Allergies or sensitivities
- Previous reactions to injections or infusions
- Your treatment goals
You will have the opportunity to ask questions and discuss any concerns before deciding whether to proceed.
Your Safety Comes First
Patient safety is our highest priority. Every treatment is delivered in accordance with professional nursing standards and evidence-informed clinical practice.
Not every treatment is suitable for every person, and there may be occasions where treatment is not recommended based on your current health or medical history. We will always explain our recommendations clearly and honestly.
Vitamin Injection Appointments
Vitamin injections are administered intramuscularly (IM), meaning the vitamin is delivered directly into a muscle for gradual absorption into the bloodstream.
Common treatments include:
- Vitamin B12
- Vitamin B Complex
- Vitamin D
- Biotin
- Other wellness injections
Step 1 – Preparation
Once your consultation has been completed, your treatment will be prepared using sterile equipment. The injection site will be cleaned with an antiseptic solution to minimise the risk of infection.
Step 2 – Administration
The injection is usually given in the upper arm or upper outer buttock, depending on the treatment. Most patients experience only mild discomfort lasting a few seconds.
Step 3 – Aftercare
Following your injection, you may remain in the clinic briefly if required. Most patients are able to return to normal daily activities immediately after treatment.
IV Vitamin Infusion Appointments
IV vitamin therapy delivers vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and hydration fluids directly into the bloodstream through a small cannula placed in a vein.
Available treatments may include Myers' Infusion, Vitamin C Infusion, Glutathione Therapy and other personalised wellness infusions.
Step 1 – Clinical Assessment
Before treatment begins, we will confirm there have been no changes to your health since booking and review your suitability for treatment.
Step 2 – Cannulation
A small sterile cannula will be inserted into a suitable vein, usually in your hand or arm. The procedure is similar to having a blood test and is typically quick and well tolerated.
Step 3 – Relax During Your Infusion
Once connected, your infusion will be administered slowly over approximately 30 to 60 minutes. During this time you can relax, read, listen to music, browse your phone or simply enjoy some quiet time.
Step 4 – Monitoring & Completion
Throughout your infusion you will be monitored by an experienced Registered Nurse. Once treatment is complete, the cannula will be removed and aftercare advice provided before you leave.
How Long Does an Appointment Take?
- Vitamin Injections: Approximately 15–30 minutes.
- IV Infusions: Approximately 45–90 minutes depending on the treatment selected.
Will It Hurt?
Most patients experience only minimal discomfort. You may feel a brief scratch when the needle or cannula is inserted, followed by mild tenderness afterwards. Many patients are pleasantly surprised by how comfortable the treatments are.
